Wings of Faith is not just about airplanes, but airplanes are a tool we use in helping to reach the world for Christ. Fly out of a world focused on self-gratification, to one of compassion for lost and impoverished Native Americans. This is the heartbeat of Wings of Faith.
The opportunity that birthed Wings of Faith started as a film ministry in the 1970s. Extremely remote areas were scouted by small plane, then navigated with a customized van loaded with a generator, sound equipment, and an 8’ X 10’ screen, showing films to minister to the native population. The two-way screen was mounted on the top of the van enabling the villagers to completely surround it. It was lovingly called “Church in a Box” or “Bread Wagon,” and translated “living bread to dying people.”
The challenge grew as missionaries asked the team to return with items that were unavailable in the remote area: clothing, hygiene items, first aid supplies, evangelistic services, medical evacuation flights and transporting missionary families and disaster aid.
Wings of Faith provides on-going support and donations to missionaries and outposts mainly serving Native American populations in the United States and is committed to helping the poor, abused, hungry and forgotten people in these communities. Our organization utilizes a team of volunteers to pilot light aircraft and drive ground vehicles to spread the gospel of Christ in tangible ways by transporting Bibles, food, clothing, medical supplies and other necessary aid to those who need it most.
Our Mission
This was the beginning of God’s plan for a flying ministry and in 1977 Wings of Faith, an all-volunteer non-profit 501 (c)(3) organization was established.
Today, Wings of Faith’s flight operations are based at Corona, Calif. and Holbrook, Ariz. airports. The two operations conduct ongoing flights year-round to dozens of missions in California, Nevada, Arizona and New Mexico that serve approximately 14 tribes in the Western states. The mission of Wings of Faith under God’s guidance is to help those who can’t help themselves physically or spiritually with the goal of sharing the Gospel and bringing the Good News to those in need of it.

Wings of Faith Financial Summary
Wings of Faith is decidedly devoted to being good stewards of the resources God and his faithful people provide. On average we spend over 96% directly on supplies, storage and delivery of Bibles, tracts, food, clothing, hygiene and other essentials over thousands of miles each year. We spend approximately 2-3% on fundraising and since we are all volunteers, we put the emphasis on the ministry at hand. More specific information is available upon request.
